About MeI am an artist, cell biologist, and birder and have been painting for 17 years. At a young age, I was taught gongbi and xieyi Chinese watercolor styles. Over time, I incorporated elements of these traditional techniques into my self-taught style. I use Chinese calligraphy ink and brushes with western paints and paper in my watercolor works as a way to honor my Chinese-American background.Making art has always been a way for me to recharge, reset, and flourish during my busy life! In addition to watercolor painting, I also work with colored pencils, alcohol-based markers, and acrylic paints.
